Liverpool-based medical device specialist Algeos has donated insoles and orthotics to all 13 of the UK’s podiatry colleges.

Jackie Fisher, who took over as the company’s chief executive in the course of 2016, said the move had come from Algeos’s commitment to invest in the “continuing professional development of the professionals on the frontline”.

She said her company had had a successful year in 2016, helped by winning for the fifth consecutive time a tender to supply insoles, orthotics and other specialist footwear products to public-sector bodies in the Gulf Co-operation Council states. She said she was confident of further growth in 2017.
