Izmir footwear event celebrates its fortieth edition

The 40th Izmir International ShoExpo Fair started on October 19 and ran in the Turkish city until October 22.

More than 150 domestic and overseas footwear and accessory brands attended.

New initiatives for 2016 included a hosted buyer programme, which involved direct contact between a select group of overseas buyers with Turkish producers.

Organisers said they expected around 8,000 visitors to the event.
