Katy Perry launches footwear collection

“It’s been a creative goal of mine to be a real contributor in the affordablefashion space,” said Perry. “Launching a footwear collection felt like a natural first step for me.”
The Katy Perry Footwear collection for women will include heels, sandals and sneakers. Global Brands says the designs will use materials such as lucite and vinyl and will feature metallics and floral prints.
“The collection highlights Katy’s signature style, with unique, standout details within several distinct themes that we believe will resonate with consumers on a global level,” said Jimmy Gabriel, president of footwear at Global Brands Group.
The range made its debut at the recent Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) event in New York (August 2-4) and will be available from February 2017 in selected department stores as well as through e-commerce channels.
