Former GDS director to launch new shoe event

Frank Hartmann, who was director of the GDS exhibition in Düsseldorf until 2009, has announced a new event called the European Shoeshow.

Launching in March 2017, the new event will run in Cologne twice a year, in March and September.

Initial reports say Mr Hartmann will aim to sign up 150 footwear brands to take part in the inaugural event.
