Pakistani footwear exports down by almost 20% in value

Pakistan’s Federal Bureau of Statistics has said exports by footwear companies in the first nine months of the current financial year have brought in earnings of almost $80 million. Leather shoes contributed amost $65 million towards this.

Footwear manufacturers exported almost 9.5 million pairs over the period.

Volumes were down by 3.7% compared to the same period a year ago and export values fell by almost 20%.
