Burnley-based footwear company Swift & Co had the chance to exhibit at the FN Platform event in Las Vegas in February following its success in winning awards last year from The Worshipful Company of Cordwainers Award for innovation and from the British Footwear Association for new production techniques and developments in comfort.

As an example of the innovation it has introduced, Swift said the foam it uses in insole footbeds is between 10 and 11 millimetres thick at the toe, and between 12 and 13 millimetres thick at the heel, offering, it claimed “a 300% to 400% uplift in underfoot shock absorbency over a standard insock”. 

The company has now launched a new website from which customers around the world can order shoes directl. It said it was looking forward to fulfilling its first e-commerce orders.
