BASF price rise could affect foam production

28/01/2016
Chemicals manufacturer BASF has announced it will, “with immediate effect, or as contract terms allow”, increase the price of its Lupranate TDI products by $100 per tonne.

The price increase will apply in the Middle East and Africa, with BASF giving as the reason for the rise its desire to “restore prices to a sustainable level”.

TDI is toluene diisocyanate, a core ingredient in the production of polyurethane foams.
