Small Brazilian footwear firms gain from Portugal visit

State-run consultancy body Sebrae and Brazilian footwear industry association Assintecal were the joint-organisers of a recent visit to Portugal by 12 small footwear companies from different parts of Brazil.

Danyela Pires, who runs Sebrae’s industry division in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, said contacts the Brazilian manufacturers had had with Portuguese industry body Apiccaps during the trip offered access to “innovative ideas”.
