Keen tops category as outdoor industry launches consumer campaign

Keen has scooped a gold awards for its Uneek design at the OutDoor Friedrichshafen trade show in Germany – the only shoe among the top prizes.

This outdoor sandal was described by judges as “a superb solution for travelling, outdoor activities and everyday use”.

 "With its unique look, super comfortable fit and new material, Keen has further improved this great product,” they said.

The European Outdoor Group (EOG) used the occasion to launch a consumer-facing campaign ItsGreatOutThere, to promote participation in outdoor activities.

EOG president John Jansen said: "Everyone in our industry believes in the positive impact that outdoor activities have on individuals and on society. Fitness, life skills, fun, health, unforgettable memories and a sustainable connection with nature - the power of outdoor sports is phenomenal. 

“These are messages that Europe’s leading outdoor companies believe must be shared with as wide an audience as possible. That is why we are all working together to promote ‘It’s Great Out There’.”
