UITIC launches call for papers

India’s Council for Leather Exports (CLE) will host the congress in Chennai from February 3-5, 2016. Brands, footwear manufacturers and industry experts will join together to discuss the ‘Future of the Footwear Factory’, the event’s main theme.
In keeping with this theme, discussions will focus on five topics: manufacturing based on the needs of the consumers; intelligent manufacturing in smart factories; sustainability and regulatory trends; advanced retail and supply chains, and attractive footwear factories and new ways of management. It is on these topics that the organisers would like prospective speakers to submit papers.
Spoken presentations will last 20 minutes; ideas for visual presentations with posters are lso welcome.
Authors have until September 30, 2015, to submit their ideas. An abstract submission form is available at this link. Abstract review results will be announced on October 30, 2015, and the final deadline for completed work submissions will be December 31, 2015.
