Famous London museum to host Footwear Student of the Year

London livery company Cordwainers will host a Footwear Student of the Year event at the city’s Victoria and Albert Museum on June 18, starting at 6.30 pm.

Those attending the event will also be able to view a new footwear exhibition at the museum, called ‘Shoes, Pleasure and Pain’, which opens on June 13 and will run until January 2016.

At the awards ceremony, which will offer recognition to students of footwear design at different universities and colleges around the UK, Rupert Sanderson will be the keynote speaker, and the organisers have said they expect designer Jimmy Choo to be in attendance too.
