La Fuente, a tanning company from the south-west of the country has opened shops in Granada, León, Masaya and Estelí. Each will stock 60,000 square-feet of finished leather to supply small-scale artisans making footwear, leathergoods, upholstery and leather garments in those areas.

The tannery currently has the capacity to produce 600,000 square-feet of finished leather per month.
