Castañer appoints new director general

Spanish footwear brand Castañer has appointed Domingo Barrachina as its new director general. He joins from jewellery and accessories chain Tous. His main objective at Castañer will be to help the brand continue its efforts to expand internationally.

Castañer has own-brand stores in Spain, France, Italy, Japan and China, as well as a presence in multibrand retailers in other countries, including the US, Mexico and Panama. It has plans to expand its network of own-brand stores by opening in the near future in Colombia, Chile, Hong Kong and Singapore and it is this expansion that Domingo Barrachina will concentrate on, according to comments Castañer has made to media in Spain.
