Strong start to 2014 for Pou Chen

Taiwanese footwear manufacturing group Pou Chen has reported sales for January and February 2014 of almost $1.2 billion. The group said on reporting the unaudited figure that it represents an increase of 7.7% compared to the same months in 2013.

Full-year audited figures for 2013 are not yet available, but unaudited figures suggest sales of $7.5 billion.

Pou Chen Group claims to be the largest branded athletic and casual footwear manufacturer in the world. It makes shoes as an outsource manufacturing partner for brands including Salomon, Merrell, Converse, Asics, Nike, adidas, Reebok, New Balance, Puma, and Timberland.
