High turnout expected for 18th footwear congress

The International Union of Shoe Industry Technicians (UITIC) has said it is expecting a high turnout for its 18th international technical footwear congress with over 300 participants registered to attend the event from 13 to 16 November 2013 in Guangzhou, China.

Organised by UITIC and the China Leather Industry Association, the theme of the congress is “Corporate Social Responsibility, a challenge for the footwear industry”.

Around 30 international footwear and CSR experts will present the latest innovations and progress in this field during five sessions: product innovation, innovation processes, working conditions and human resources, consumers and clients, and setting up social responsibility measures.
