Visitor numbers 'very good' at Simac

Organisers of leather and footwear machinery fairs Simac and Tanning Tech, held in Italy at the start of this month, have praised visitor levels as “very good” and said this year's event focused on substance.

There was reportedly “widespread satisfaction” from the 248 exhibitors from 22 countries, as well as from official delegations from Eastern Europe (Bulgaria, Russia and Ukraine), Africa (Algeria, Mali, Morocco, Tunisia), South America (Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Paraguay), the Middle East (Iran) and Asia (Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Mongolia and Pakistan).

In Pavilion 35, where the tanning machines were housed, manufacturers presented solutions to reduce energy consumption and prevent unnecessary wastage.
