Steve Madden supports DSW’s rapid expansion

US footwear retailer DWS has opened five new stores as part of the Columbus-based company’s plan to open 30 stores this year.

Footwear designer Steve Madden and singer Keyshia Cole are attending the official opening party for the new Harlem, New York, store on September 17.

With two shopping floors and over 27,000 square feet, the Harlem store carries thousands of pairs of men's and women's shoes as well as accessories. The new store in the Bronx will feature 20,000 square feet and over 25,000 pairs of shoes.

Other stores opened in the past week are located in Boardman, Ohio; Muskegon, Michigan; and Rochester, Minnesota.
