Markus Baum, until recently adidas brand director in eastern Europe, has left the company to become director of footwear at outdoor brand Jack Wolfskin. He has taken up the new role with immediate effect, replacing Jochen Rolle, who is leaving Jack Wolfskin for personal reasons.

Mr Baum has worked for adidas for ten years, carrying out various roles in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and eastern Europe. Jack Wolfskin said it believed he would give its footwear collection “a new identity”.

Jack Wolfskin currently sells 1.5 million pairs of shoes and boots per year.
