Deckers eyes outdoor market with Teva hire

Jeffrey Bua replaces Joel Heath as president at the 25-year old company, and will report to chairman Angel Martinez.
Prior to joining Deckers in 2011 as Mozo brand president, Mr Bua worked for footwear companies including RG Barry Corporation, Hi-Tec Sports, Umbro and Reebok.
During his nine year tenure with Reebok he helped achieve number one positions in tennis, basketball and fitness, according to Deckers.
Mr Martinez said: “Jeff has demonstrated the ability to take brands to the next level during his 30 plus year career in the footwear industry. Over the past several years we’ve made good progress re-positioning the Teva brand to attract a younger, more active consumer.
"Jeff’s broad range of experience will be incredibly valuable as we look to leverage the brand’s sandal heritage to create new growth vehicles within the outdoor space.”
