Around 20 companies from the Valencia region, including high-end brands who make their shoes in the important towns of Elche, Elda and Petrer, have reported a more positive mood among buyers whom they saw at the autumn edition of Micam, which closed in Milan on September 18.

Director of the local footwear association CAVEX, Clara Aura, told Spanish media at the end of the event that Micam had gone better for her member companies this time. She said: “Some of our members have reported growth, while others are more steady, but as a general rule their reaction was that buyers appeared to have lost the fear and the negativity that we have seen in recent editions of Micam.”
