UK-based Church’s Shoes plans to expand its factory after outgrowing its current manufacturing facilities in move that could create up to 150 jobs.

The leather shoe brand, now owned by Prada, has submitted an application to buy a former bus depot on St James Road in Northampton.

The application will be discussed by the borough council at an upcoming meeting and was described as an “opportunity to support a company with ambitions to grow in Northampton” by council leader David Mackintosh.
