Asians ‘appreciate quality’ – Tod’s CEO

Sales at leathergoods and footwear company Tod’s increased 1.8% to EUR 491 million in the first half of the year, driven by strong sales in Asia.

Sales of shoes totalled EUR 383 million, up 6.3%, while there was a slight dip in leathergoods sales to EUR 79.3 million.

Tod’s CEO Diego Della Valle said: “In line with management expectations, our group’s sales and profits registered a sound growth in the second quarter of the year. Tod’s and Roger Vivier continued to achieve excellent results in the international markets, confirming the strong customer appreciation for the quality and exclusivity of our products.”

Tod’s also owns footwear brands Hogan and Fay.
