Outdoor footwear and apparel brand Jack Wolfskin has partnered Heightsport to accelerate its growth into Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile.

Department store concessions and mono brand stores are being planned alongside sales in Heightsport chain stores. The first South American Jack Wolfskin Store opened in July in Pucón, Chile.

Pucón is one of the most popular destinations in South America for outdoor enthusiasts, attracting around 1.2 million visitors per year.

“Latin America attracts countless outdoor enthusiasts from all over the world with its breathtaking and varied scenery, providing us with the perfect opportunity to tap into an international audience. In particular, the growing tourism industry in Chile provides the ideal starting point to bring our innovative products to the South American market,” explained Michael Rupp, CEO of Jack Wolfskin.

“I am especially pleased to see the new developments in South America, not only because they prove that the great outdoors is an on-trend topic internationally, but also because it means that the Jack Wolfskin brand is winning great trust in vastly different cultures to our own.”

The next South American store is expected to be opened in Santiago de Chile in October.
