Weyco posts higher sales

Men’s footwear retailer Weyco Group has announced sales of $65 million in the second quarter, an increase of 8%.

Wholesale product sales at the US group were $46.9 million, up from $43.1 million in the year-ago period, primarly due to higher sales of its Nunn Bush and Florsheim brands.

CEO Thomas Florsheim said: “We are pleased with our solid growth in both sales and operating earnings this quarter. While the current retail market remains unpredictable, we feel our overall business is well positioned going into the second half of the year."
