Gilberto Ballin is new president of Young Entrepreneurs group at Assocal

Italian footwear manufacturers’ association Assocalzaturifici has made Gilberto Ballin the new president of its Young Entrepreneurs group.

Mr Ballin, who runs his family business, Moda di Fausto, gained experience earlier in his career at Ecco in Denmark. When he joined Moda di Fausto in 1998, he worked first in production and completed a course for model makers. The brand was founded by his parents in 1978 and focuses on women’s fashion shoes, producing around 250,000 pairs per year.
