Local footwear is best, say Vietnamese

The association surveyed customers in Ha Noi, HCM City, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa and Binh Duong to develop strategies for product design, pricing and distribution. The association said the survey highlighted the growth potential of the domestic footwear market.
The brands most favoured are Biti's, Thuong Dinh and Vinagiay, it was reported in local press.
Biti's has an annual production capacity of 20 million pairs, 55% of which are sold in the domestic market via 60 distribution centres and 3,500 agents. The company has increased its turnover by between 20% and 30% every year.
