Rhodes to launch footwear line for first time

London-based fashion designer Zandra Rhodes has confirmed she will launch her first footwear collection.

Known for flamboyant clothes that helped make London a global centre of fashion in the 1960s and 1970s, Ms Rhodes waited until 2012 before designing a range of handbags.

One year later, she has said that she knew immediately after releasing the bags that she wanted to launch a collection of footwear to complement them.
