Finnish foodbed technology provider Footbalance has named a new managing director for its North American business.

Jeremy Town has been promoted from North American vice-president of finance, a position he has held for a year. He will continue as the head of finance in the US and Canada while also leading all aspects of the North American operation.

Mr Town’s experience includes management roles with Amer Sports, as well as several finance positions for technology giant IBM. In his new role he will adapt global business plans to the North American market, build partnerships and launch new products.

“It’s been exciting to be part of the growth Footbalance North America has seen in the last year, and I’m confident we’ll continue to succeed and make a difference in the industry,” said Mr Town. “As a sports and outdoor enthusiast, I know how important fit, comfort and performance are when it comes to footwear. So, it’s extremely satisfying come to work every day knowing that we’re improving this for so many people.”

Footbalance was developed by a Finnish physiotherapist specialising in podiatric medicine. The system enables the production of customised footbeds at retail stores in less than 10 minutes.
