The decision came at an extraordinary shareholders meeting in Bologna in mid-April.
“The new name and articles of association are part of an underlying renewal strategy,” said the organisation’s president, Cleto Sagripanti. “This is an important moment of transition for the association, which intends to remain faithful to its history and tradition, but which also wishes to – and must – rise to the new challenges ahead. To this end, it has brought its articles of association up to date, with a view to becoming an increasingly important point of reference for businesses in this sector.”
