Beast to Beauty conference postponed until June

The fourth Beast to Beauty conference, due to be held at N’Vision at the University of Northampton on April 26, has been postponed until June 13.

Joint organiser Simon Yarwood, publisher of World Footwear magazine, said: “One of the key elements of the previous conferences has been the participation of 20 final-year fashion students from different UK universities. The earlier-than-normal conference date has proved a hindrance for the students so we have decided to postpone to a more convenient time.

“I would like to thank our sponsors the Scottish Leather Group, Pittards, the Worshipful Company of Leathersellers and the University of Northampton for their understanding. We are looking forward to an exciting event in June.”

Beast to Beauty 2013 will focus on ‘Eco and Creativity by Design’ and will include a debate on the subject of the leather sector’s carbon footprint.
