Turnpike expands Orthaheel collection

New York-based comfort footwear retailer Turnpike Shoes has expanded its range of footwear with Orthaheel technology. In the range are flip-flops, slippers and sandals for men and women, all with Orthaheel technology in the sole.

The technology is approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association and stabilises the rolling of the foot due to repeated impact, which can lead to problems such as lower back pain and misalignment of the hips. It achieves this by controlling the movement of the three anatomical planes of the foot: sagittal, transverse and frontal.

Chief executive of the retailer, Steve Rueda, says the expanded range has shoes to help a variety of conditions and “make the foot feel better”.
