Google unveils talking shoe

Google has unveiled a talking shoe that issues fitness instructions and encourages the wearer to stay active.

Depending on how fast they are moving, the shoes are programmed to comment: “This is super boring”, “Let’s do this” or “You have made me a very proud shoe".

The android-connected shoe is fitted with a computer, a speaker, an accelerometer, a gyroscope and a pressure sensor, and is programmed with 250 phrases.

Perhaps fortunately, however, the shoes are not scheduled to go into production, but were rather a demonstration of how technology can be incorporated into everyday objects, and on display at US technology and music event South by Southwest.
