Red or Dead director among speakers at footwear conference

The World at Your Feet Footwear Conference will take place on March 20 and 21 at Northampton University and targets academic disciplines including fashion and design, history, sociology and anthropology, as well as those with a general interest in the industry.
Keynote speakers include Chris Hill, director of the Cordwainers footwear and accessories design course, and Katie Greenyer, creative director of Red or Dead.
Vicki Dean, head of fashion at the University of Northampton, said: “Northampton’s roots are at the heart of the UK footwear industry and this conference celebrates its heritage, as well as engaging the future generation of footwear enthusiasts across the globe.
“Footwear is a global language, which transcends nationally and unites world commerce. We are thrilled that so many high-profile academics are joining together for the event.”
