Italy: high-end shoe firm lives to fight another day

Artigiana Viareggina, a long-established luxury footwear firm from the Tuscan province of Lucca has reached an agreement with the authorities in the province to set up under new ownership and to continue production with 19 of its 42 employees.
New owner of the brand, a company called Da.Ma, has said it will aim to increase production levels quickly to be able to take on again the remaining 23 workers.
