Six students reach final of Moda footwear design contest

Footwear design students at De Montfort University in Leicester will compete for industry recognition as part of a joint project between the university and the Moda footwear exhibition in Birmingham.

Now in its fifth year, the project, History in the Making, will provide six finalists from the university’s footwear design course with a showcase for their shoe design ideas at the Moda exhibition, which next takes place in Birmingham from February 17-19.

The six finalists this year are Summer Spencer from Leicester, Maya Nishimura from Japan, Emma Brown from Leicester, Natasha Leanne McAnuff from Sheffield, Hannah Binns from the Wirral and Jenifer Moffat from Cambridgeshire.

A judging panel will select the winning design at the exhibition.
