Sympatex-lined snowboard boot among winners at ISPO

The outer and inner shoe are made of leather, and it uses a Sympatex membrane to create a warm and dry climate for the foot.
Jeremy Sladen, a judge of the awards and snowboard operations manager at Snowboard Asylum UK, said: “By combining the outdoor focused Vibram sole unit with state-of-the-art snowboard boot design and construction, Deeluxe created a piece of equipment that will deliver great performance whether ascending with crampons, skinning up the mountain or dropping the steepest chute.”
The Ion snowboard boot by Burton was also chosen as a winner. The high-end, all-mountain performance boot, offers “multiples new technologies in one product and its revolutionary Infinite Ride liner maximises rebound, comfort and durability”.
Mr Slanden added: "The Ion has long been known as one of the most innovative boots on the market – and the new model continues that legacy. The new Infinite liner combines proven technology with state-of-the-art materials to create a boot that guarantees great lifetime performance."
