ZEM opts for Poron protection in minimalist shoes

Florida-based “minimalist” footwear brand ZEMgear has announced that it will incorporate Poron performance cushioning material from Rogers Corporation into its product line for 2013.

ZEM, (Zone of Endless Motion), says its footwear allows feet “to do what they were designed to do best in their natural, barefoot state”, and it believes Poron, based on durable open-cell foam technology, will provide high levels of protection and shock-absorption from minimum thickness.

The material is infused with Microban antimicrobial protection to combat the growth of odour-causing bacteria, mould and mildew in the shoes.
