Growth continues in Vietnam

Officials in Vietnam have said total exports for 2012 are likely to have brought revenue of $114.6 billion into the country. The leather industry’s share of this total will be greater than $8.7 billion, growth of nearly 12.4% compared to 2011.

In the course of 2012, Vietnamese manufacturers exported leather footwear with a value of $7.2 billion, an increase of 11.1% on the year before. The value of leathergoods exports was more than $1.5 billion, up by 18.9% on the previous 12 months.
