Feng Tay reports decreases in production and sales

Taiwanese outsource footwear manufacturing group Feng Tay Enterprises has reported an increase of 4.3% in production in November compared to the previous month.

During November, Feng Tay factories produced 5.6 million pairs of shoes. In spite of the increase compared to October 2012, the total represents a decline of 11.4% compared to November 2011.

Footwear sales increased by 1% in volume compared to the same month in 2011, reaching 6.1 million pairs. As of November 30, 2012, the cumulative production for the year stood at 58.7 million pairs, down by 7.7% compared to first 11 months of 2011.

Shoe sales for the first 11 months of 2012 reached 59 million pairs in volume, lower by 5.4% compred to the same period in 2011.
