Handmade shoes and whisky mix well

The company launched Chivas Regal 12 Made for Gentlemen in the autumn and has already had orders for more than two million units.
Mr Little is widely credited with having transformed Northampton-based men’s footwear brand Grenson into an internationally renowned maker of artisan men’s shoes.
For the Chivas project, he came up with the idea of presenting the bottle in a tin depicting a handmade shoe, a traditional brogue, but in an eye-catching red, white and silver colour combination.
At the time of the launch, Mr Little described handmade shoes as a basic element of a gentlemen’s wardrobe. He said the combination of a traditional handmade, goodyear-welted shoe with premium-blend Chivas whisky aged for 12 years was a meeting of two ancient traditions, both of which require time and skills passed down from one generation to the next.
