Miami fashion brand loves lambskin from Italy

Miami-based high-end menswear brand Atelier has launched its ‘Cruise’ 2012-2013 collection, emphasising its love for lambskin in the footwear component, as well as in some of the accessories, including belts.

The lambskin comes from specialist tanners in southern Italy that Atelier says offer “unprecedented craftsmanship”. The uppers match the rest of the collection in colours that range from warm brown tones to grey and lavender. Prices are from $229 to $395 per pair.

One of the brand’s founders, Michael Amar, told leatherbiz that Atelier uses lambskin first and foremost for the comfort and shaping and durability that the leather provides to the design of the shoes.
