Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart y Silva, the Duchess of Alba, has a place in the Guinness Book of Records for holding the highest number of officially recognised noble titles of any aristocrat in the world.

She lays claim to 57 different titles as duchess, countess, marchioness and so on.

On November 16, the duchess was able to add the title of “Spain’s best shod woman” to her list, earning her a place of honour in the national footwear museum in Elda, in the province of Alicante.

Like previous winners, she gifted to the museum with a pair of shoes from her personal collection to go on permanent display there.
