World’s largest shoe store to open in Dubai

The world’s largest shoe department will open next month in Dubai, housing more than 250 brands in 96,000 square feet of shopping mall.

Louis Vuitton, Prada, Yves Saint Laurent, Dior and Gucci are among high-end brands featured. Sports shoes and limited edition lifestyle brands will be housed in a “sneaker alley”.

The mall, called Level Shoe District, will also feature a cobblers and a VIP lounge.

Condé Nast Restaurants have announced they are to open a restaurant in the space, Vogue Café, which, in accordance with local customs, will not serve alcohol. “We are working with the best local partners in Dubai, and will absolutely respect the laws and values of the land," said Stuart Nielsen, director of Condé Nast Restaurants.
