Turkish slipper brand to increase production

Turkish manufacturer of indoor and outdoor slippers Gezer Ayakkabi has announced a substantial increase in capacity at its factory in Bolu, in the north-west of the country.

According to the company, slippers are an increasingly popular footwear product in the Far East.

One of the directors, Dirse Bekiroglu, told local media that the Bolu facility was almost doubling its production capacity, from 10 million pairs a year to 19 million. He also said the company aims to bring in new investment to expand its product range.
