Micam names Barneys ‘best foreign buyer’

Tom Kalenderian, vice-president of Barneys, accepted the award at a gala dinner in Milan and praised the quality of the Italian shoe industry and Micam’s long relationship with the US store.
For Italy, Giuseppe and Giorgio Deliberti were named buyers of the year. The family opened its first boutique in Naples in 1991 and now has 11 stores stocking high-end ready-to-wear fashion.
The awards recipients are chosen by exhibitors at the three-day exhibition, which has this year attracted more than 1,570 exhibitors, 600 of them from outside Italy.
