Spanish footwear firm launches its own line of leathergoods

Spanish fashion footwear brand Castañer has launched a line of leathergoods. Murcia-based Castañer, a specialist in alpargata-style high-end sandals launched its first ever collection of handbags during the summer.

A crocodile-style stamp on bovine leather is one of the stand-out features of two of the bags in the collection, Adela and Ana.

Active in the Spanish market since 1926, Castañer only embarked on its programme of international expansion in 2006.
