30/08/2012
Investments in the leather and footwear industry in Tunisia rose 372% in the first seven months of the year, according to the country’s Agency for Promotion of Industry and Innovation.

This amounted to $25.7 million, against $5.4 million during the same period last year.

One of the reasons for the increase was foreign investment into a footwear plant worth $18 million.
