Brazilian leather footwear manufacturer Villione has said it is experiencing high levels of growth in the Middle East and North Africa.

The company has been exporting high-end men’s shoes to eight countries in the part of the world (Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco and Syria) for six years, but said recently that it expects growth of between 25% and 30% in the second half of this year.

These eight countries already have a 30% share of all export sales for Villione. The São Paulo-based footwear firm limits its production to 800 pairs a day, around one-third of which are going for export at the moment. It makes shoes under licence for a number of prominent brands, including Calvin Klein and Hush Puppies, as well as its own brand.
