Vietnam exports more shoes to Brazil
Vietnam exported footwear products
worth more than $121 million to Brazil in the first six months of this year, up
55% compared with the same period last year.
According to Lefaso, the Vietnam
Leather and Footwear Association, the country’s leather
and footwear industry exports around 90% of total production to countries
across the globe.
During the first half of 2012, the
sector reported a 25% increase in export value to $3.4 billion. Revenue from
value-added products in the industry for the first half increased by 40-45%
compared with 38-40% during the prior-year period.
