Feng Tay releases figures for first five months

Taiwanese outsource footwear manufacturing group Feng Tay Enterprises has reported that its six factories in Vietnam, four in China and one each in India and Indonesia collectively increased production by 12.3% in May compared to the previous month.

Sales reached 6.6 million pairs, 9% higher than in May 2011.

However, cumulatively, production for the first five months was 26.1 million pairs, which represents a decline of 6.3% compared to the same period in 2011. Sales of 26.8 million pairs for the January-May period represents an increase of 4% on 2011.
